My name is Anesu Karen Murambadoro and I am a second-year medical student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe but consider Overland Park, Kansas to be home. I am passionate about health equity, neuroscience, surgery and mentorship. As a pre-clerkship student and first-generation medical student, I am also eager to find ways to make medicine and surgical specialties accessible. My hobbies include cooking, watching football and taking walks.
