I am Maria, an incoming medical school student at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (class of 2027)! I graduated in 2021 from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, and I am also a former community college transfer student. During my time in community college, I discovered my love for hiking and exploring about, which I now do with my dog Mars in my free time. I also love trying new local restaurants, checking in with friends, going to the beach, watching movies and shows, and just hanging out. I am super excited to start medical school, and I hope to contribute to the advancement of medicine and the regenerative medicine field (through dermatology or reconstructive plastic surgery? We will one day find out!)
