Daphne Sanchez: Academic Statistics

Hi everyone, my name is Daphne Sanchez. I am a current third-year medical student at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, TX. I was raised along the Texas-Mexico border in a small city called Laredo. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, and took four gap years before getting accepted into medical school. During that time, I completed a MS in Pharmacology from Tulane University, worked as a Research Coordinator, Patient Care Technician, Teacher, and became a boy mom. While I usually have my hands full with family and school, I still enjoy baking, hanging out with friends, and mentoring first generation premed students. If you'd like to follow my journey as a first-gen med student and mom, feel free to check out my Instagram: @StrollersandScrubs.
